Market and Concessions
A community resource and economic catalyst, this is a multi-purpose structure for celebrations, community gatherings, and temporary markets that draw people to the town green and the riverfront park. A permanent food counter and public restrooms make visiting the riverfront a more comfortable experience.
A: A trellis structure provides shade for leisurely relaxation as well as market vendors. The open structure allows for views of the river from the town green.
B: A light roof structure provides cover from rain and heat while defining a dedicated space for community gatherings and market vendors.
C:An enclosed concession area provides a permanent space for food preparation and service as well as public rest rooms.
Produce markets, craft markets, and seasonal festivals can all use this shaded structure. Moss Point's farmers' market would draw vendors serving the other existing markets along the coast.
The market facility would have multiple uses, including a concession area. A permanent snack counter will provide food for visitors to the park, making a visit to downtown even more enjoyable.
