Community Rating System (CRS)  The NFIP’s Community Rating System is a voluntary incentive program that recognizes and encourages community floodplain management activities that exceed the minimum NFIP requirements.

FEMA Library  The searchable web-based collection of FEMA documents 

Southeast Region Research Initiative   Program managed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory to assist local, state and tribal leaders in developing the tools and methods required to anticipate and forestall terrorist events and to enhance disaster response. 

City of Biloxi Storm and Flood Preparedness  The storm and flood information center for the City of Biloxi. 

Whole Building Design Guide  A program of the National Institute of Building Sciences, this is a gateway to up-to-date information on integrated ‘Whole Building’ design techniques and technologies. 

Oak Ridge National Laboratory  A multi-program science and technology laboratory managed for the U.S. Department of Energy to conduct basic and applied research and development to create scientific knowledge and technological solutions in the areas of science, energy, the environment and national security. 

Community and Regional Resilience Institute(CARRI)  A major effort of SERRI, CARRI is dedicated to research and practical application across the full continuum of prevention, protection, response and recovery to enhance the resilience of communities and regions. 

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)  America’s oldest association of civil engineers and the largest publisher of civil engineering content.

Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) A multi-risk applied research and training facility dedicated to the advancement of building science by enabling researchers and evaluate residential and commercial construction materials and systems. 

Hurricane Katrina Flood Recovery Maps (Mississippi)  FEMA maps showing the extent and magnitude of Hurricane Katrina’s surge, as well as information on advisory flood data, for Harrison, Hancock, and Jackson Counties in coastal Mississippi.

Floodplain Management Association (FMA)  The Floodplain Management Association promotes the development of principles and tools for effective federal, state, and local floodplain management programs. 

Building Science Information  A compendium of objective, high-quality information about commercial and residential buildings.

eWatermark  The news publication for the NFIP that features updates, technical assistance, and additional flood-related articles for insurance agents, public officials, lenders, and other NFIP stakeholders.
