Pod were built behind our partner's warehouse prior to Resilient Home Building Expo.
Pods and roofs here lifted on to a truck and driven from the warehouse to the Gulf Coast Coliseum.
A fork lift was used to position the pod pieces into the exhibit space.
Once the framed out pods were in place inside the coliseum the GCCDS sheathed and finished them in place. |

All three pods in their presentation displays. The first pod (far left) is left at the framing stage to display proper ties, and clips as well as strong framing techniques. The second pod (middle) is sheathed with weather-protected sheathing on the walls and roofs as well as flashing and tape around the opening. The third pod (far right) is described below. The final pod shows cut aways for a nearly finished home. Elements noted by signs on the pod included proper placement and fastening of house wrap, correct taping and flashing around the window as well as the installation of resilient exterior finishes. Visitors to the conference were encouraged to walk up and into the pods for closer inspection.
